About Me

As a high school junior, a summer on Royal Servants marked the beginning of a lifetime of ministry for me. After a few trips, I went on to pursue a degree in youth ministry from the Moody Bible Institute. While in college and beyond I had the chance to be involved in several different types of ministry: small to large church, urban to rural, camping ministry to para-church… All were amazing experiences and helped mold how I do ministry. Looking at how God created me, I realized that Reign Ministries combines my passion for discipleship, joy of speaking, and my love of travel to form a ministry opportunities suited just for me. As each year passes I learn more and more about what it means to do effective ministry.

I’m glad I’m not alone in my strange loves. I think it’s just like having brown sugar cookies :) haha

Now that is creepy. The universe produced two people who like choco chip cookies w/o the chips?

I’ve never been so aware of my white skin

by Laura Buchelt July 16, 2010
It’s Amazing being here in Africa. Everything is so different. The way Sierra Leoneans talk, the way they dress, even the fact that they carry things on top of their heads. It’s incredible being so far out of my element. I’ve never felt like a minority before, but here there’s no way of escaping it. [...] Read more »

Sierra Leone Debriefing in London

by Laura Buchelt July 29, 2009
We arrived safely to London on Monday morning.  Our proposed 3 1/2 hour trip from Makeni to the airport ended up being 5 1/2 but it was relatively uneventful which was a nice surprise.  We were able to see some pretty authentic African villages along the route. The arrival in London after a month in [...] Read more »
