Barnabas Team

Barneys needed!

This summer we need a strong Barnabas team.

Can’t Get Enough of Training Camp?

  • Got 2 weeks but not a summer?
  • Want to be a part of the excitement but cannot do a full trip?
  • Did Training Camp change your life and you want to give back?

Don’t just sit there. Join the Barneys!

What do we look for in a Barney?

Modeling: First, we look for a person who is willing to be a model. New students on The Hill will be watching you, and the Barneys will need to model going in threes, enthusiasm, and teamwork. Sorry ladies, no makeup!

Servant’s heart: Second, we need alumni with a servant’s heart. The Barnabas team is about doing the things behind the scenes that don’t get a lot of glory (not a lot of warm fuzzies for mowing the grass) but make it look good and run right.

Positive Attitude: Third, a positive attitude is essential. There are days you will be rushed but other days that will be pretty chill. Whether you are busy or not, doing hard (or boring) work, bring a positive attitude if you want to be on the Barnabas team. No whiners wanted!

Small groups: We want Barneys to be more than a work crew. We want them to be a group of individuals drawn together into a tight-knit team focused on giving glory to the Lord through all that is done.

What does a Barney do?

The Barneys are a team of alumni students who return to serve and help facilitate the smooth operation of Royal Servants Training Camp. Barneys do a lot:

  • Storing and organizing equipment
  • Daily cleaning
  • Hauling stuff (like garbage)
  • Setting up tents and the obstacle course
  • Office work
  • Anything and everything to make Training Camp run efficiently

The Barnabas team is not a place to get away from home for a few weeks nor a convenient location for a reunion. It is a place where you get hot and sweaty and where your service will be used and appreciated.

Dates, Dollars, and Details.

The Barnabas team is limited to the first 12 qualified alumni applicants.
