Discipleship, Transformation…

Discipleship happens when we sit with Christ. He encourages, corrects, builds, and teaches us. Kairos Discipleship School is structured to help you focus upon Him and allow him to train you. That is what a discipleship training school is all about. Spend your days in worship, prayer, small-group discussions, solitude, the classroom, and on the mission field.

College-Level Training

In the classroom you will study college-level curriculum and hear from speakers on subjects ranging from effective prayer and knowing God as Father to apologetics and cross-cultural missions. You will build a solid foundation for your future, grow in character, and discover your unique gifts and passion.  Whether you are called to full-time ministry, leadership in the marketplace, or simply want to get to know God better, the Kairos Discipleship School will help you get there!

Spiritual Transformation

You will spend time alone with God every day in His word and experience powerful times of team worship and prayer every week. We also memorize scripture, read life-changing books, and spend quality time in small groups to talk about what we are learning. Your transformation will come full-circle as you step out of your comfort zone and serve others on your mission trips.

Adventure

You will hike five hours through a rain forest in the mountains of Honduras to take the gospel to an ancient Indian tribe. It is so remote that your gear will have to be carried by mules. On this mission trip you will experience God’s compassion as you help build homes for the poor, provide medical clinics, and do programs for village children.

As a part of your leadership training you will engage in a rugged canoe adventure in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness on the Canadian border. You will gain skills in communication decision-making, delegation, and problem-solving as you lead your teammates. You will encounter God in new ways in this incredibly fun and beautiful setting.

New Friends

You will become a part of a real community of believers that grow together. We learn what it means to have group unity as we express individual humility and a servant’s heart. You will have a blast getting to know new people and you’ll make friendships that will last a lifetime!

Hi Krista, I am going to have Kevin Rusack, the Director of Kairos Discipleship School follow up with you.

      Blessings!

      Hello Krista,

Any exception to our 26 year old cut off age would require us to do a phone interview with you. We could schedule a phone call after I return from Honduras on February 26th. please let me know if you would like to set that up.. Thanks you.
      Blessings,
      Kevin Rusack

Hey I was wondering when your classes begin for the next year? The 2011 – 2012 curriculum? I am finishing my college degree in August of this year, and am very interested in the Kairos program. I have two trips with RSI, Scotland 2005 and Barnabas 2006.

    Thanks,
    Laura Abbott

What happens if your not an outdoors “type” of person?  Canoeing sounds foreign to me, and I’m not sure if I could do it. Is this schooling good for me?

    • Erika

You don’t need any outdoor or canoeing experience to be a part of the Kairos Discipleship School.  Many of our students just learn as they go.  We only spend 5 days out canoeing, so you wouldn’t have any problem.  Kairos is definitely worth it!  Contact me at ebreiby@reignministries.org for more information.

How much does the course cost?

    • http://getentangled.com Mark Hoober

You can see the price for the current session and what is covered on this page: http://reignministries.org/kairos-discipleship-school/contribution-requirements/

  • saraw

How much does it cost, and is it affordable for someone with not a lot of money?  Also, do many people live on a campus or do they just commute?

    • http://getentangled.com Mark Hoober

The cost and what is covered is provided here: http://reignministries.org/kairos-discipleship-school/contribution-requirements/.

Many students raise support to participate b/c it prepares them to serve in ministry. We provide host-home house for all students, so in that sense you would commute.
