I wanted to give everyone an update on the meeting that we had the 11th of December with the architects and civil engineer. The meeting went very well. We started the meeting off by sharing the vision and mission of Reign Ministries. We went into detail about what our focus is at Training Camp and the current elements and how we cannot lose what we are today. We had conversations about the items and building specifications that we may have to have to meet local and state codes. I believe the gentlemen understood who we are called to be and what we are called to do. We are now in the process of the following steps.
1. Aerial Survey
We ordered an aerial survey so the civil engineer can do his work based on the function of the ground elevations and the needs described for family areas, staff areas, the trough, and the big top.
2. Next Meeting
We will have a follow up meeting on February 16th. The Architects will bring us ideas and conceptual drawings for the master plan, the building design, and future use options.
3. Fundraising Support Materials
We will work towards having elevation drawings for our capital fund raising efforts after the meeting.
4. Cost of Design Services
They will provide bids for the cost to do the listed scope of work at the next meeting.
Bottom Line is….. We are moving towards getting on the ground in Wisconsin.
The reality is we will be planning to be fully functional and organized for our very first summer training for the summer of 2011. We are in the process as of getting all of the many requirements in place for the new location.
5. Prayer requests:
1. Continue to pray for those doing the work to develop God’s Training Camp.
2. Pray for the details that need to be worked out in the transfer of camps.
3. Pray for those in the surrounding communities as we enter their demographic.
4. Pray that the leadership in the governing communities have conditioned hearts as we set up meetings to share our vision and mission.
5. Pray for the staff that will be adding this work to their daily tasks, Tom, Darla, McHargues, Margaret, and for all those with servant hearts that will be part of the transition.
I am excited to see this new season of Reign Ministries and how God will use it to affect His Kingdom!!
