Stephanie went with Royal Servants to Ireland in ’08 and to Sierra Leone in ’09. This past year she has been serving in Tanzania at a school and medical clinic. She wrote to the office inquiring about serving with the Barnabas team next summer, and she made the following remark. The “hayfield” refers to Training Camp—an experience many students later describe as a strongly positive defining moment in their lives.

God did a lot in my heart on that hayfield the past few summers—what better opportunity than to serve there and give that chance to hundreds of other students! Not only did I grow in my relationship with Him, but the discipline and learning was wonderful preparation for my year here in Tanzania. God is moving and working, and I am delighted to think back to the beginnings of my heart for missions.
