China Mission Trip

Maybe you’ve heard that the Great Wall can be seen from outer space. That sounds cool, but, unfortunately, it’s just an urban legend. However, the Chinese do have a saying: “You are not a true man [or woman] until you have climbed the Great Wall!”

The Ministry

In China you’ll work in public high schools, partnering with local missionaries.  You’ll visit the homes of Chinese students, perform skits, play volleyball, and compete in killer basketball matches! It’s a fun, varied, activity-based program designed specifically to build relationships and spark questions. You’ll get quality time to hang out with Chinese students, taking it deeper by meeting one-on-one to satisfy their curiosity about Jesus and share how they can know Him personally.

Adventure

You will travel throughout the country by plane, train, bus, taxi, rickshaw, and the occasional bicycle. You’ll eat the best sweet and sour chicken in your life, and if you’re brave, a scorpion or starfish. Debriefing in Beijing will include the Great Wall, Forbidden City, and the famous Silk Market.

Spiritual Growth

The Chinese are spiritually hungry, and last summer every team member was part of leading a Chinese student to Christ. Not only are you going to see God use you in amazing ways, you’re going to see God in a whole new way. Get ready for a world-rocking, life-changing, kingdom-impacting trip!

Safety

Royal Servants has been leading mission trips to China since 1987.  In all that time we have never been threatened harassed or had any problems.  Instead we get enthusiastically invited back!  Royal Servants will not do anything that is illegal.  We don’t proselytize on the streets.  When asked we simply share with Chinese students what we believe within the context of a relationship.  It’s simple it’s effective and it’s legal.  However if you or anyone you know is worried Contact Tom Ives the China mission trip leader.  He will be able to address your concerns about ministering in this wonderful country.

New Friends

In China you are going to play hard and minister even harder!  You are going to get to know your teammates better and rely on them more than you can imagine.  Those kinds of experiences build a quality and depth you will rarely experience in life.  You’ll laugh together as you challenge each other to eat chicken feet cow intestines or other interesting foods (the guys always go for dog).  You will walk away from the summer with lasting friendships.
