Go on a mission trip with Royal Servants, and use your soccer skills. Playing soccer creates a great opportunity to share the Gospel. We have a place for soccer players on our Costa Rica mission trip.
Quick Facts
The Soccer mission trip to Costa Rica is 5 weeks long for participants and 6 weeks long for college-age staff disciplers. It begins on June 25 for participants and June 18 for staff disciplers. You return on July 30. The support raising requirement for this trip is yet to be determined.
Fast Action Futsal…
If you like highly competitive fast action you will love the tournament play in Costa Rica. You will join with students from across North America to form a tournament team that will compete against local Costa Rican teams. While these teams are local they are not lightweights. You will have to give your best and let your light shine to give the Costa Ricans a run for their money.
Pickup Soccer…
If you prefer more casual soccer or have never played before and want to, you can play in the villages we where we minister. Soccer is a universal sport in Costa Rica. It is a great way to draw a crowd, develop relationships, and win and opportunity to share Christ. The pickup soccer is much more relaxed and relational.
Girls Soccer…
If you are a girl and enjoy soccer there is an great opportunity here. In Costa Rica soccer is still largely a male sport. So there is not as much tournament action. We will conduct a futsal soccer clinic for local female soccer players. It is a fantastic way to learn futsal and develop closer relationships with local female students. And you can have a lot of fun in the pickup soccer games in the local villages.
Soccer and More…
There will be other opportunities to reach out make friends and share about Christ. Soccer provides a great draw for sharing the gospel but you will also be challenged to take bold steps and share about Christ.
Not A Soccer Player? That is OK! We need you. While soccer is big and plays an important role on our Costa Rica mission trip there are plenty of spots for other interests. You can use drama, dance, or puppets to create ministry opportunities. Often between halves of the game you rest of the team will put on a small attention getting performance to create further opportunities to share. And there are always people in the stands that need to hear about Christ. Soccer player or not, together we will form a team that will bring the gospel to a people ready to hear from you about Christ.
