Royal Servants takes the safety and health of your child seriously!
We go to the great lengths to ensure that your son or daughter remains healthy and is safe throughout the trip.
The following precautions (among others) are taken to assure the safety of each participant on a Royal Servants mission trip:
Pre-mission trip evaluation:
Prior to sending a team to any location, Royal Servants conducts an analysis to determine any political, environmental, or regional issues which may affect the safety and health of the team members. Continued monitoring of every country continues up to each trip’s departure from Training Camp.
We know the country’s in which we work, and the locals with whom we work. We have been travelling to many of our locations, China and Nepal for instance, for more than a decade. We do not go to a country where parents cannot be confident in the safety of their child.
During the mission trip:
Making sure that each participant is safe in-country is critical to us. It is a core value of Reign Ministries. If a situation arises that threatens the security of the team for any reason, the team will immediately move to a stable location.
No participant is allowed to go out alone. Each must always be in a group of at least three persons. One of these persons must be a staff discipler or a male. Students cannot go to the bathroom in the night without taking a buddy, often two buddies, with them.
The only exception to this guideline would be when a staff discipler arranges a personal meeting with one of his or her student’s and only with the expressed permission of a team leader.
Health
If your son or daughter should need any medical treatment at all, we will not proceed, except in emergency, without consulting with you first. We often call home and involve parents even for symptoms of a common cold. We log all medical conversations and treatments, even if a student takes an ibuprofin.
If there is ever any concern, we consult with a local clinic.
We instruct students on food safety and hygiene to maintain health.
