China Team 2019 Update 7

35,000. That is the about the number of steps the China team has made since arriving in 2.5 days ago. Most of them were spent exploring Shanghai.

Yesterday we arrived at the location we will be working at for the next 3 weeks. Today’s steps will bring us around the city, figuring out where we will eat or buy food and water (snacks from the students perspective, bread and fruit from the leaders perspective). And hopefully find an Internet cafe for the student to email home soon. It will be harder for this team than most to email home and get internet access, but we heard of a place the team used last year and we’re hoping it’s still there.

As a team, we are looking forward to learning more about the work we will be doing and who we will be doing it with. We did learn that our program won’t begin until Monday, so that give us 4 days to fill until then. Which we will do with teachings, extended time with the Father, and also going on walks to talk to the Father for the people in this area. And this gives us time to go over the details of our plans for the work we are doing next week and buy the needed supplies.

Last night the team thanked the Father for bringing us here. They are an amazing bunch of young people and I’m excited to see how the Father uses them!
