Words have power and make a huge difference. Proverbs 18:21 says, “The tongue has the power of life and death.” Of the two, I would much rather hear words of life and encouragement. I know in my own life that when someone shares a compliment, shows appreciation, or builds me up with words, it lifts my spirit. I feel better and am motivated to keep up the good work. Encouragement can empower and motivate us.
As you prepare for your summer overseas you may be a little stressed or worried. You may have concerns about raising support, memory work, being away from family and friends, or what to pack. All of these concerns can be a way that the enemy attacks and tries to discourage you. The good news is that we serve an amazing God, and He gives us His word to keep us from falling. I want to offer you a few words of encouragement from scripture and my prayer is that these will encourage and motivate you as you press on in preparing for an amazing summer of ministry.
Isaiah 40:31 – “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Isaiah 41:10 – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”
Philippians 4:19 – “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Ephesians 3:20 – “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly then all we can ask or think, according to the power at work within us.”
It is not by chance that God has you on a trip with Royal Servants. I believe that God has you on this exciting journey for a reason, so press on and be encouraged. We are very excited to see you this summer and watch what God does in and through your life.
