That’s a great question! Sometimes God is very specific, other times He says’, "I can use you anywhere!” But if you’re not sure, it helps to have a few questions to narrow it down. A great question to ask yourself is what type of ministry are you interested in? All Royal Servants mission trips focus on relational based evangelism, but each trip’s ministry is unique. Trips like China focus on English programs for teenagers, while in Nepal you might love on someone with leprosy. Maybe you like the thought of performing street ministry across Europe (Europe) or loving on hundreds of orphans (Africa). Pray about it and at any time in the process you feel your heart leap…maybe you need to go for it!

Street Evangelism

For those of you who love to perform dances or dramas, you can have a huge impact in major cities throughout the world! After receiving training at our Training Camp, you will venture out into huge city squares to begin your performance, drawing an eager and curious crowd in providing a foundation for the message of the Gospel.

Orphanages

There are workers around the world dedicated to caring for orphans in their community. You’ll have a chance to step into their world for a few days, spending time with babies or older children who live in these communities. Of course, part of this ministry also includes caring for and getting to know the men and women who give to these children day in and day out. Be ready to serve wherever you’re needed!

Student/School Ministry

Even though we have the summer off from school in the States, not all countries do! If you love working with students (whether that’s in a formal classroom setting or in a more relaxed, after school environment), many ministry opportunities are available. This might look like taking part in an English language camp, or maybe it’s playing basketball with students during the weeknight. Building relationships with students is often the foundation for sharing the Gospel!

Relationship Building

In some locations, street evangelism is not possible. Instead, you’ll have the chance to build relationships over a cup of coffee or a smoothie, sharing the Gospel in a more personal way. This type of relationship building ministry is similar to how you might share the Gospel at home with your friends. Why not spend the summer training, practicing, and sharing the Good News in this way?

Children's Ministry

Many of our partner churches overseas run summer Bible programs for their community. You’ll be able to build relationships with children as they hear about the good news of Jesus. You might use puppets, dance, dramas, or even balloon animals (don’t worry, we’ll train you!) to draw a crowd of children and their parents so that you can have intentional Gospel centered conversations.

Most trips will dabble in this area.

People all over the world love sports - it’s an instant connection point. Whether you’re an elite player or take a more casual interest, there is a need for you on our team! You’ll practice playing soccer together as a team at our Training Camp and will travel around Costa Rica, playing and sharing the Gospel to the crowds that gather.
